Produktbeschreibung

Popular single-seed for parrots and large parakeets

Striped sunflower seeds are a popular supplement for parrots and large parakeets. They can be offered pure as a single seed, as an individual supplement to an existing seed mix, or for producing fresh sprouted feed.

Due to their size and hard shells, the seeds also provide natural activity for opening and cracking. However, because of their comparatively high fat content, sunflower seeds should be offered according to need and not in unlimited quantities.

Especially suitable for:
African Greys, Amazons, cockatoos, large parakeets, and other seed-eating parrot species.

Preparation as sprouted feed
Soak the desired amount of sunflower seeds in water for about 24 hours. Then, rinse thoroughly and let them sit in a suitable sieve or sprouting container until small sprouts become visible. During the sprouting process, rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times a day.

Important:
Always offer sprouted feed fresh and prepare only small quantities, especially in warm temperatures, as it can spoil quickly.
