The main food, enriched with vegetables and herbs, was specially formulated to meet the dietary needs of large parakeets from Asia, Australia, and South America. Representatives of this group include the king parakeet, the Alexandrine parakeet, the sun parakeet, and all grass parakeet species (Neophema).

The feed composition comprises 49.5% starchy seeds, 29% oily seeds, 9.5% vegetables, 8% herbs, and 4% grass seeds. This combination is perfect for active parakeets living indoors.

Oregano, thyme, and rosemary are well-known in herbal medicine. Oregano supports digestion, thyme counteracts the growth of bacteria, viruses, and fungi, and rosemary can relax tense muscles, help with joint pain, and stimulate circulation. Rosemary is also said to have a strengthening and invigorating effect on the mind. The olfactory stimulation provided by these herbs is therefore ideal for bored caged birds.

Medicinal herbs and vegetables form the basis of a low-calorie diet for birds. Therefore, it is advisable to supplement the main feed mix daily with fresh products from these two categories and to adjust the main feed to the animals' needs in order to avoid obesity.
