Poly-min is a mineral feed containing essential minerals that birds need daily for their metabolism. It is particularly rich in finely ground fossilized oyster shells, which dissolve more slowly than ground limestone, thus ensuring a continuous supply of calcium. Studies have confirmed that fossilized oyster shells, as a slow-dissolving source of calcium, have a positive effect on the health, well-being, and performance of birds.

Furthermore, Poly-min is enriched with algal calcium, which is rich in bioavailable trace elements. Calcium gluconate, a high-quality source of calcium, has also been added.

A special feature of Poly-min is the betaine it contains, a natural product from sugar beets that serves as a methyl group supplier and energy booster. Betaine has an osmoregulatory effect in the gut and supports intestinal stability as well as coccidiosis prophylaxis.

Poly-min has proven effective in preventing rickets and eggshell deformities.

Feeding recommendation:

Sprinkle 100 mg (e.g., for a budgie) to 500 mg (for a pigeon) per animal per day over their food or offer it in their treat dish. One level measuring spoon (equivalent to 5 g Poly-min) is sufficient for 10 pigeons per day.

Feeding instructions:

Due to higher levels of vitamin A, vitamin D3 and trace elements compared to complete feeds, this mineral feed may only be fed to birds up to 10% of their daily ration.
