Sunflower seeds are excellent sprouting food for African Grey parrots, cockatoos, Amazons, and parakeets. Soak the seeds in water for 24 hours, then let them stand in a sieve until small sprouts appear. IMPORTANT: Rinse with clean water several times a day. Only give small amounts, as sprouted food can spoil quickly, especially during the warmer months.
